Sunday July 1st

We started our Sunday morning session at Seva Bharti with another visit to the park to play cricket.  During our last game of cricket, we had a few of the younger boys express that they were not thrilled with playing the game, and would prefer to do something else.  Today, we brought along coloring books, crayons, and paints for those not interested in cricket; this worked out great.  The few not playing,  had a lot of fun painting.  Besides, it is always nice to be sat outside on a pleasant morning.

As the afternoon got closer, the sweltering heat started to set in, so we headed back to the orphanage.  We conducted the "elephant toothpaste" experiment, which we had done at Kalyehli, to much delight.  It was a nice way to end our morning session as the entire group took part and enjoyed the activity.

We returned to Kalyelhi in the afternoon with our projector in tow, as we had promised another movie there.  This week we watched how to train your dragon; the entire group absolutely adored the film.  Already demands have been made for the sequel!  We were able to download the movie dubbed in Hindi, with English subtitles, which was much preferred.  Becca and I would rather be interacting with the children here, however we are continuing to make sure we do this during our Wednesday sessions.  There was previously a working television at Kalyehli, however it has been out of service for several months.  Therefore the only time they get to watch a film is when we bring the projector, so we don't mind to show a movie as long as they are having fun.
